Ulticon Builders, Inc. (UBI), a Quadruple A construction company, donated construction materials for the Camp Facility Enhancement Project of the Philippine Army Bravo (Braveheart) Company in Maramag, Bukidnon on 3 May 2020. The Braveheart Company initiated this project to renovate and upgrade deteriorating facilities, including camp defense, fence, and patrol base bunkers.
In embarking on the project, the Braveheart Company faced the imposing roadblock of lack of resources. Commanding Officer 1LT Rebie E. Buco approached UBI for partnership through Engr. Teodoro Omalay Jr., Equipment Supervisor. The partnership mechanism of UBI and the Philippine Army immediately swung into action, and UBI donated tons of cement for the project.
The Bravo (Braveheart) Company, 88 Infantry Battalion, 4th Infantry Division has been fearlessly protecting the citizens of Maramag from harm, armed threats, and unwarranted control from insurgency groups such as the CPP-NPA. The Braveheart Company’s duties include training troops to fight in armed conflicts, ensuring the safety of people, and actively pursuing monitoring operations to target enemies – all for the goal of defeating the insurgency. They have also evolved as the community’s partner for progress through peace. They educate people on the role of the government as an enabler of progress – and not an enemy. They also support ex-rebels on their way to reintegration into society.
Like the Braveheart Company, UBI has been fearless in building roads and bridges in some of the most challenging regions in the country – for the vision of progress. UBI recognizes the role of the Braveheart Company and all the other branches of the Philippine Army in maintaining peace and order, so companies such as UBI can operate seamlessly and safely to help lift communities and build a nation.
